"My son has been in clinics and individual sessions with Dewey. What really impresses me about Dewey is that, although my son has been on many teams and been to a lot of different basketball camps, Dewey teaches the boys on a different level. He has an unusually deep knowledge of the game. The boys are taught many fine points about skills and have their repertoire of tactics expanded. He also designs drills to drive home certain fundamental principles, such as the importance of defensive positioning and moving without the ball on offense. He spurs their competitive spirits in a straightforward, healthy way. He has a very steady demeanor (no screaming, for example). I also especially like how he tries to teach them them the right general approach to the game - demanding that they think about it, that they show leadership on the floor, and so forth. He also plan his sessions carefully, down to the minute, and makes very good use of the time." -
Dan Blickman, Philadelphia, PA"If you have a son or daughter who basketball, you WANT them going to Dewey Burke's camp, clinics, group sessions or individual sessions! Dewey works. He works at knowing what your child needs to improve upon. I've seen my son improve in every area of his game thanks to Dewey Burke Basketball. Dewey's passion and knowledge of the game, along with his North Carolina championship experience gives your child a championship experience EVERY TIME. I know each time my son steps onto the floor with Dewey he is going to work and improve. Give your kid the best: give him or her the opportunity to learn this great game by learning from a coach that gives everything he has so our kids can give everything they have."

Reverend Joseph J. Stecz, King of Prussia, PA"My son has worked out with Dewey in his summer camps, groups session, and individual sessions. I've seen improvement in his shooting and ball handling ability. Dewey coaches with a no-nonsense, but encouraging style that kids naturally respond to. It's rewarding to know my son is getting the knowledge from someone who has played at the highest collegiate level." -
Dr. A. Scott McNeal, Collegeville, PA"It was the best time and money spent! At first - 3
hours, four days a week, what could be done in such a short time? My
son came home in a drenched t-shirt every day, but with a huge smile
and the confidence in himself that had been lost after a bad break
during his basketball season. He ended the week at Dewey's camp a MUCH
better player in all aspects of the game than he was going in. Dewey
works on being a good player: (in and out) skills, technique, good
sportsmanship and teamwork. He was encouraging and determined to get to
know these kids, find out where their weaknesses were and improve on
them. He introduced kids to skills they did not know they had, gave
them a chance to challenge themselves and not be afraid of trying
something new. He did not "typecast" them because of size or ability.
He recognized their dedication and passion for a sport that has been a
major component to his life. It was way more than a camp - it was an
experience...one my children will not forget and cannot wait to be
apart of next summer. My son canceled his plans to go to a reputable
overnight camp because he wanted to go the 2nd week of Dewey Burke! I
am grateful simply for seeing my children play their best and be
excited about this game. Their confidence was heightened with this
camp, both in their ability as far as players on and off the court.
They took away more than new skills, they ended the camp with a belief
that they can do anything if they try and work hard! THANK YOU!"
- Gerry Wallace, Radnor, PA
"I want to thank Dewey for a wonderful basketball camp for my son and his teammates. The kids learned the fundamentals of the game, but in addition they began learning higher level skills and improving their basketball IQ. Dewey is able to use his skills to help the kids improve not only their physical game but the mental aspect as well. I can see an improvement in all the kids games, in all areas. His teaching methods are a great way for the kids to learn. The drills he provided the kids to work on after camp was over were essential for their development. I have known Dewey for three years now and would highly recommend his camp to anyone that wants to truly work and improve."
Paul Kubler, King of Prussia, PA"I learned a lot at a higher level than any other camp I attended.
The drills developed better ball handling and shooting skills. It was
the best basketball camp I have ever attended. The instructors paid
close attention and made lots of good suggestions. The number of player
to coaches was a real plus." - Camper, 8th grade
"Ok, I doubted them when they wanted to change my shot, but man what a
difference! My shooting and ball handling skills are 10x better than
they were. No one ever bothered to teach me ball handling skills
because I was tall and always put in as a center. Dewey listened and
let me play other positions, taught me technique that I have used and
it has proven to work. I cannot believe what I learned and how I
improved my game in 4 days! His drills during the camps and his advice
after camp ended are what every kid needs to be a good player both
physically and mentally. I do his drills every day. I have been to
several camps the past years and NOT ONE was as good as Dewey's. I
actually learned something rather than doing the same old stuff. Dewey
and his partners worked us HARD, but were so encouraging. That is how
you teach/coach kids! I cannot wait to go back next summer!" - Camper, 11th grade
"My daughter and her friends continue to leave Dewey's clinics saying, "Wow, we worked hard today." Each girl has a specific skill to work on when they leave, and, they have been encouraged by Dewey to focus while they practice and they will see success. My children have attended Dewey's camps and clinics since he graduated from college. They keep wanting to go back because Dewey cares about improving their specific game but at the same time they are enjoying their time with their friends. He is a wonderful coach and teacher because he cares about the individual development of each child and they feel good about themselves when they leave. They leave workouts with the tools to help them practice individually so they can reach their own goals." - Parent, 8th grade girl and 9th grade boy
